Leave Fes and cross the Middle Atlas, passing the cedar forests near Azrou and stopping around Midelt. Descend through the Ziz Gorges and its palm-filled valley, continue via Erfoud, and arrive in Merzouga beside the Erg Chebbi dunes for a night in the guesthouse.

Discover the landscapes and communities around Merzouga before preparing for the desert crossing. In the late afternoon, ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the colours change at sunset, and spend the night in a camp among the sand dunes.

In the morning, you will have opportunity to take some amazing pictures as the sun rises over the dunes. It is a unique and unforgettable experience. Our camels await you for the trek back to the hotel, where you will enjoy a fresh shower and an open air breakfast at the edge of the desert overlooking the dunes. We then depart for Erfoud. It is one of the oldest known sites, where you can find precious and unique fossils. As we make our way through the palm tree groves, we stop for lunch and head to Todgha Gorges, a magnificent canyon in the Atlas Mountains. There we will have a walk through the canyon floor with the spectacular cliffs surrounding us on either side.

We end the day in Boumaine de Dades. It is a perfect destination overlooking the fertile valley below and the panorama of the mountains beyond. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Explore the Dades Valley and its dramatic rock formations before visiting nomadic families who still live in caves in the surrounding mountains. Continue through the southern kasbah landscapes toward Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night.

Leave Ouarzazate and visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a celebrated example of southern Moroccan earthen architecture. Continue through the Ounila Valley and cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka road before descending into Marrakech.
